TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak is out already. Here in this tutorial we will help you jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 untethered on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
As mentioned in our initial coverage, this jailbreak tool is compatible with all devices and iOS 8.0-8.1.1 firmwares, including the latest iOS 8.2 beta.
Ready? Let’s start.

Pre-requisites:

  • Turn off Find My iPhone by navigating to: Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone.
  • Restore to iOS 8.1.1 via iTunes. OTA updates usually don’t work well with jailbreaks. You candownload iOS 8.1.1 from here.
  • Backup your device using iCloud or iTunes.
  • Supported devices:
    • iPhone 6 Plus
    • iPhone 6
    • iPhone 5s

How to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 on Windows:
Step 1: Download TaiG jailbreak for Windows from here.
Step 2: Connect your iOS device via USB, and run TaiG.
Step 3: Uncheck the second option below Cydia to prevent installing TaiG app store.

Step 4: Now click on the big green button in the center to start Jailbreak.
Step 5: TaiG will now jailbreak your iOS device. Do not disconnect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch during the jailbreak process. Once the jailbreak process is complete, your iOS device will reboot and you will have Cydia installed on the home screen. It’s that simple!

Download firmware iOS 8.1.1 Final For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch [Direct links]

iOS 8.1.1 is out! After two weeks of testing, Apple has seeded the iOS 8.1.1 update to the public. This is a minor update that includes certain bug fixes and performance and stability improvements for the iPhone 4s and iPad 2.
The Cupertino company has continued to churn out updates to its mobile firmware these past couple of months, and with iOS 8.1 having recently introduced Apple Pay among several other key features, iOS 8.1.1 seems a less feature-rich bump. Still, perhaps most notably for jailbreakers, it plugs the Pangu8 jailbreak, and so while it’s likely Apple will be signing the previous iOS 8.1 for a very short while, anybody updating to iOS 8.1.1 will not be able to reap the benefits of the many Cydia tweaks that have been released and or updated since Pangu arrived last month.

iOS 8.1.1 is packed to the gills with bug fixes and general performance enhancements. Like any new piece of software, iOS 8.x has been afflicted by its fair share of teething issues, and while the botched iOS 8.0.1 update did not help matters at all, it does seem that much work has been done to ensure that the latest installment is by far the smoothest to date.
If you have no reservations about anything and want to update right away then you can take the on-device, over-the-air route by firing up the Settings app and navigating to General > Software Update, or you can take the more traditional route that involves hooking your device up to your PC or Mac and updating via iTunes.

If you have the time and the means, though, we’d always suggest updating through iTunes.

Again, like we mentioned earlier, iOS 8.1.1 blocks Pangu jailbreak. DO NOT update to 8.1.1 if you want to keep the jailbreak.

The Pangu8 for Mac version 1.0.0 can be downloaded from our downloads section. You already know how tojailbreak using the tool on Windows, the steps are similar on a Mac as well. Recently, Saurik tweeted that the iOS 8 jailbreak is now stable enough for daily use and most of the bugs have been fixed. The Pangu jailbreak is now complete, there’s both Windows and Mac versions, and no more bootloop or crashing issues.
It is advisable that if you do want to jailbreak your iOS device, you do so before Apple releases iOS 8.1.1, as the jailbreak has been patched in the first beta of the upcoming software.
