Download firmware iOS 9.0.2 Final Links For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch [Direct links]

This is just in. Apple has just released iOS 9.0.2 download links for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.
The release sees the latest public version of iOS ramped up to 9.0.2, introducing a number of bug fixes and bringing various performance enhancements throughout the platform. Today’s release also shows Apple’s continued commitment to offering the best possible iOS experience to its mobile customers, coming only a week after the public launch of iOS 9.0.1.

The official change log that accompanies the latest iOS software update is as follows:
This update contains bug fixes and improvements, including
Fixes an issue with the setting to turn on or off app mobile data usage.
Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users.
Resolves an issue where an iCloud Backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup.
Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications.
Improves the stability of Podcasts.
As you can see, Apple has chosen to focus on stability and bringing as many fixes and improvements as possible with these minor point updates. This type of release schedule is historically the norm whenever a new major version of iOS drops. There’s always going to be a bedding in period that sees a number of point updates introduced in a relatively short space of time.
Anyone with a compatible device capable of running iOS 9 can also start to look forward to the official introduction of iOS 9.1. Whilst these minor point updates focus on improving and stabilizing what was released with iOS 9.0, iOS 9.1 will introduce a number of new small features, such as the new set of emojis. But we’ll bring you more about that as and when the time comes.
For now, those with a compatible iPhone, iPad, iPod touch can launch the native Settings app and go directly to General > Software Update to download and install iOS 9.0.2. The update should be showing up immediately.

Download firmware iOS 9.0.1 Final Links For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch [Direct links]

Only a week after iOS 9.0, Apple today has released final iOS 9.0.1 IPSW download links for supported iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.
So, just what does iOS 9.0.1 offer to all of those opting to download it? First and foremost, the release introduces a fix for a bug that a large amount of users had been experiencing with the iOS setup assistant after upgrading to iOS 9. The aforementioned bug causes a fair bit of frustration by getting users stuck in a position where they could never actually successfully complete the setup process, instead getting stuck on a “Slide to Upgrade” screen. Apple’s interim fix for this issue was to restore via iTunes from a backup.

iOS 9.0.1 also brings with it a number of other bug fixes for issues that have been reported to Apple. An issue whereby alarms and timers could fail to execute has been addressed and resolved. There’s also a visual fix for Mobile Safari and the Photos app that addresses an issue that users were experiencing when pausing a video. Pausing a playing video would occasionally appear to show the paused frame as being distorted. This has now been rectified.
The final issue that’s been addressed as part of the official change log that accompanies the iOS 9.0.1 update pertains to a custom VPN setup. Specific users who were opting to use a custom VPN setup via a profile were experiencing issues with the loss of mobile data. The latest version of iOS addresses and fixes that issue for all of those who had been experiencing it.
As always, the latest version of iOS is available as an over-the-air download via the Software Update mechanism in the native Settings app (Settings -> General -> Software Update).

Alternatively, if you want to clean install, you can do so using iTunes and the firmware file tailored for your iOS device, which you can grab from here.

This guide will help you download and install final version of iOS 9 on your supported device. Apple’s iOS 9 supports same devices as iOS 8: iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air 2, iPad Air 1, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 1, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPod touch 6 and iPod touch 5. How to download and install iOS 9 final version:
Before installing the final version of iOS 9, it’s highly recommended to make a complete backup of your device to either iCloud or using iTunes to your computer. We have separate detailed guide on how to make the backup and prepare your device for iOS 9 that you can check out here. Once you are done with making backup using the instructions provided at that link, follow the instructions below to install iOS 9 on your device.
Clean Install:
This is the recommended way of installing any major version of iOS. Here’s how to go about about this on your device.
Step 1: Download and install latest version of iTunes from here.
Step 2: Grab the iOS 9 download link tailored for your iOS device from here: iOS 9 Download Links For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch [IPSW Links].
Step 3: Turn off Find My iPhone on your device by navigating to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone toggle it to off.

Step 4: Now connect your device to the computer and launch iTunes.
Step 5: From the left sidebar panel, select your iOS device from Summary tab under Settings.

Step 6: Now if you are on a Mac, hold the Alt key or if you are on Windows PC, hold the Shift key, and then click on the Restore iPhone… button as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 7: iTunes will now prompt you to select the .IPSW file you downloaded in the Step 2 above. Select it.

That’s it. Now sit back and relax as iTunes installs final version of iOS 9 on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Be patient as this could take some time. Once it is installed, your device will boot directly into Hello screen of iOS 9.
OTA Update Install:
The easier way to install the iOS 9 update is to get it via the built-in OTA update mechanism in iOS. While it is easy, it is not recommended for major iOS releases such as version 9.0 as they tend to cause performance related issues. But if that sort of thing doesn’t bother you, you can give this method a go.

Make sure you backup everything as explained earlier just in case anything goes wrong. Also make sure your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch has at least 1.3GB of free space and is charged well over 50%. Once you have all of that sorted, simply head to Settings > General > Software Update and update from there.
